Everything and Nothing

I am seriously starting to question the effectiveness of going to bed purposely early to be able to study the next morning if I can't sleep. Bah.<br />Other than that, things have been quite interesting. We've been having friends over for the past month or so, and now my brother and hie family have gotten back from South Africa as well. Things here are never boring...and crowded! <a href="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2686/4375164421_1b7e863c4c.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2686/4375164421_1b7e863c4c.jpg" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 438px; height: 500px;" /></a>The darling nephew.<br /><br />I've managed to develop a healthy obsession with electronica, electro-pop, new wave, trip-hop, or really anthing with a synthezier in it. My newest find is Isao Tomita. But my personal bests are probably Portishead and Depache Mode.<br /><br /><object height="385" width="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZmSH7BsNSrM&hl=it_IT&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZmSH7BsNSrM&hl=it_IT&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object><br /><br /><object height="385" width="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WQYsGWh_vpE&hl=it_IT&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WQYsGWh_vpE&hl=it_IT&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object><br /><br />Some other great music I've been delving in is folk and all it's subsets. Older italian artists were pretty great at that.<br /><br /><object height="385" width="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UA5LddiCjEo&hl=it_IT&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UA5LddiCjEo&hl=it_IT&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object><br /><br />Also, something I've found rather refreshing and inspiring are anime series from the '80. The five of us younger siblings have been having a great time re-viewing those cartoons we watched as lil' kids.<a href="http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pvxyZ3HpI9OCg6CC1Q2iqzaudH7Fhssn6kSL--7Pu-Rk6aCwJxwwc-gNuIJWGDk936Ylm7EwAP_M" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pvxyZ3HpI9OCg6CC1Q2iqzaudH7Fhssn6kSL--7Pu-Rk6aCwJxwwc-gNuIJWGDk936Ylm7EwAP_M" style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 408px; height: 297px;" /></a><br />Our all-time favorite is Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac).<br /><br />Taking off for now. Back soon. If this post doesn't keep you entertained till then, I really don't know what will.<br />Ciao!

Mnozil Brass

Yesterday my family and I went to see such an amazing concert, I think we're still blown away.<br /> Mnozil Brass are an Austrian septet comprised of 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, and 1 tuba. As posted other times on this blog, my brother is a musician, and of course we couldn't miss out. Never mind that it was totally grand and mind blowing. I mean, these guys entertain a crowd for two and a half hours, and never get a single note wrong.<br />They've got an amazing repertoire, ranging from classical to jazz, and throwing in some Michael Jackson in between.<br />Clap, clap, clap.<br />And they are UBER-funny....UBER.<br /><br /><br />Video included especially for Ozie(since I told the poor thing all about it and she feels like she missed out on the world, and I feel bad)<br /><br /><object height="344" width="425"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hBLm747tyn0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hBLm747tyn0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Every time that happens, my younger sister looks at me and says, "It's Marion Cotillard again right?"</div><div>The thing is, Marion just carries herself with such grace and pose and elegance she looks good even when she doesn't, and I can't help but admire that.
